ِAn easy way to remember whether to read Alif and Laam at the beginning of sentences with respect to sun letters or moon letters in Arabic.

 


You can't touch the sun, but you can touch the moon. 

 Alif and Laam at the beginning of sentences is not read when you have sun letters and it is read when you have moon letters
